Karen Loberg (Ventura Star) took the picture. It made the front page. He was famous for a day.

I am a fan of Charles Krauthammer. I love to hear him speak. I always enjoy what he writes. Yet we do not agree on the Russian issue: their president wrote a brilliant self-assessment a month or so ago. He and Putin evidently have law degrees. They seem to me to be trustworthy enough to be partners in a serious non-proliferation enforcement -- before it is too late.

In all events, non-proliferation is a goal at the top of my list. Likewise prevention of WW III. Next comes prosperity and spreading human rights.

Chas. the Hammer, speaks for me on many issues where he insists we confront evil and kill it if we can. To the degree we fail, evil grows. Evil can triumph, as can chaos, if we have no Hammers to caution us when we appease evil. Russia is really too strong to attack and, in fact, did win WW II for the rest of us, from the perspective of sacrifice. I say Obama deserves the Peace Prize for dealing fairly with Russia on the issue of missile defense in Europe.

Were I the President instead of Obama, I would put as powerful as possible missile defenses in Jerusalem and the rest of Israel. As for Iran, they should be warned by all the G20, they will be prevented from going nuclear.
