NETWORK  FOR  ECONOMIC  DEMOCRACY (NFED)

NFED is a network of independent websites to promote economic democracy — including the civil right to a job ; the purposeful use of money (such as maintaining full employment—even when sales decline and price deflates) ; and regulating elections—so they are fully funded by government—and candidates spend no time raising campaign funds or repaying contributors with favorable law or action.

We want full employment, as well as lowest possible debt and taxes. These goals are consistent—IF the system of production supplies need—and creates money enough for demand to purchase supply. We believe supply will not create its own demand.

We must not allow a deficit in demand to disrupt the supply of need. Government is in fact and law responsible, ahead of markets, for national and economic security, and for the People's general welfare. . It is to conscious minds in government that we must look—to correct mistakes rooted in the past but threatening our future.

We have looked to markets to protect our families, environment and nation from perils on every side. Now we suffer from uncorrected error hitting home. Markets are for shopping—not solving complex problems.  We risk, if we wait for shopping to do our thinking, heavy economic penalty and wholesale loss of morality.  We must quit creating money tied more to debt than wealth: balancing the two is vital.
