FOR THAT ORG. TO GET IT TO OBAMAObama said to America that no one likes taxes. But, he implied, that everyone understood taxes were necessary to pay for government. And he further said that people who are poor need people who are rich to spread the wealth a bit, implying that some progressive taxation was the fairest way to go.
In fact he meant that America must grow its economic output so that people who are poor today will be as comfortable as possible as soon as possible.
The fairest way to go is to grow by green production the output of necessities that no sane nation would want its people to be without. This is the fair meaning of the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness in a democratic nation.
This imperative to grow, to make human rights a reality, will require both public and private investment. Therefore, Obama favors private investment and public investment -- and tax and savings policies to promote both.
Obama, therefore, will effectively oppose and end taxes that may reduce the private sectors ability to grow the production of necessities for all the American people.
Obama does not favor counter-productive taxes of any sort. And he favors a new internal revenue code to simplify and make as fair as possible what ever taxes American will pay.
